Did you know?
1.) Brain cancer is the leading cause of death from childhood cancers among persons up to 19 years
2.) Brain cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in males ages 20-39
3.) Brain cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women ages 20-39
4.) Brain cancer research is at least 10 years behind because it is widely beleived by investors that there are too few patients afflicted to warrant sufficient funding for research?
5.) 395,000 people had brain cancer in 2000?
6.) 170,000 people were diagnosed with brain cancer in 2002?
7.) 17,000 people had primary brain cancer in 2002?
8.) Early detection is not done because it is considered too expensive due to the medical community's insiting on using traditional methods of diagnoses.
9.) In the U.S., brain cancer has been steadily increasing about 0.7% per year since 1973.
10.) Among people over age 65, brain cancer has been increasing 2.9% each year, an astonishingly rapid rise in a cancer that is almost always fatal in the elderly.
Ways to protect yourself & those you love:
1.) Thermography is a non-invasive, FDA approved, procedure that can detect cancer in all areas of the body for the same amount you can get bloodwork done. There is no reason that early detection cannot occur!
2.) Lengthy time arround moth balls can cause brain cancer from inhalation...use cedar balls instead! Mothballs are either made of 100% pure Paradichlorobenzene, which is a carcinogenic (cancer- causing) pesticide or made from Naphthalene, which is toxic if absorbed through skin
contact or inhaled over a long period of time, causing brain cancer (particularly in children) and may also damage the kidneys, liver and central nervous system.
3.) Avoid any shampoos with Lindane, as several studies have proven that it increases the occurences of brain cancer. Children who have used shampoos with this chemical have had an increase in brain cancer of 5%!
4.) Avoid "Aspartame", a controversial ingrediant found in diet drinks and in sugar substitutes, as there have been several studies proving that aspartame causes brain cancer.
5.) Patients with a history of melanoma, lung, breast, colon, or kidney cancer are at risk for secondary brain cancer. If you have a history of any of these then please, please, get your thermograph done...your brain is just as important as your heart, so check in on it as often!
